Delee and Charnley divided acetabulum into 3 zones. They divided acetabulum into 3 equal zones starting from lateral on the AP view only.

Comment: 
Zones 4,5,6 were later added for the lateral radiograph. Zone 4 starts from posterior.Zone 6 is anterior.
