Dr K B S Srinivas did his MBBS and MS(Ortho) from JIPMER, Puducherry and worked there as Senior Resident where he gained experience for 6 years in general orthopaedics, paediatric orthopaedics and tumour surgery including limb lengthenings. He did a thesis on Ilizarov Fixation in nonunions and deformities.

He then had 12 years experience of working in the UK in various subspecialities which include Knee Surgery (Royal Free & Wellington Hospitals belonging to University College London), Major Trauma & complex trauma including Taylor Spatial Frames (Imperial College London and Leicester Royal Infirmary), Hip Surgery (Imperial College), Nerve injuries (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital), Upper limb surgery (Leicester Training region & London). He completed FRCS (Glasgow) and FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) from the UK and did a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Biomechanics from Glasgow.

Prominent surgeons he worked with were Professor Dilip Kumar Patro(JIPMER), Prof Anil Mehtani(JIPMER) – Paediatric orthopaedics & Ilizarov,  Professor Rolfe Birch (Peripheral Nerve Injuries, RNOH, London), Mr George Dowd (Knee surgery, UCL, London), Mr Robert Marston (Hip surgery, Imperial College, London), Mr Srinath Kamineni (Elbow and upper limb, Imperial College), Mr Stephen Williams/ Mr Radhakanth Pandey (Leicester) and Mr Dinesh Nathwani/ Mr Satyajit Naique/ Mr Raj Bhattacharya (Imperial College) in Major Trauma.

He presented at international and national meetings including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has several publications in peer reviewed international journals including journal of Bone and Joint surgery (British Volume). He has also reviewed orthopaedic and knee surgery articles for international journals on multiple occasions. The journals include JBJS(Br), Knee, Acta Orthopaedica and Indian Orthopaedic Journal.

He is currently consultant orthopaedic surgeon in private practice at Sri Dhaatri Orthopaedic, Maternity and Gynaecology Center and visiting orthopaedic surgeon at various corporate hospitals in Vijayawada.

He also does clinics at Machilipatnam where he has successfully done operations that were never done before in the town like the first Total Knee Replacement, Minimally Invasive Total Hip Replacement, Revision Hip Replacement and Arthoscopic surgeries including ACL reconstructions and shoulder arthroscopies. Other complex surgeries of knee he performs include PCL reconstructions and computer pod assisted Total Knee Replacement. His expertise includes Knee surgery, Joint replacements, Arthroscopy, Trauma surgery and limb reconstructions.
